Good Photographs

New business building at Taharoto Rd.
There are no rules for good photographs. There are good (or not) photographs, said Ansel Adams, American.

Guitar @ Taharoto Rd

I spotted the guitar at a musical instruments shop, Taharoto Rd, Northcote, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand.
When was in primary parents bought me a jazz guitar. I had big wish to play but absolutely no talent for playing guitar. I played mandolin instead in our school orchestra. It was easier to play (and make mistakes) when playing with others.

The Curch and Cemetry was in the AK Airport zone, corner Ihumatao and G Bolt Rd. Simply moved. I took the pic some years ago.

Koru

The koru is the Māori name given to the new unfurling fern frond and symbolizes new life, growth, strength and peace. It is an integral symbol in Māori carving and tattoos.

My mother and her painting

My mother was a painter amateur. She made many works on canvas and was technicaly very good. She learnt a lot from our Primary school visual art teachers.
Here is her work and her photo taken by a local photographer at holidays maybe 1957 or 1958 at island of Ugljan what is half an hour by ship from the on shore city of Zadar (Croatian Adriatic Sea). At the time in the city of Zadar were working two famous Croatian photographers Brkan brothers, great fine art photographers.
Once upon a time my mother said her son would drive Mercedes. She was right I drive a ten years old Mercedes as a NZ taxi driver, not as a Croatian barrister as she thought. Bad luck!

Maori Flag

Taken in the City. I was waiting for the photo longer time bc it is smth that initiates civil war in EU. It means separation of a part of a country to form a separate country, like what happened today with Kosovo. I dont quite understand the problem and have again to learn International Public Law. Again to Uni. Maybe Columbia.

Defense

It is a bunker at Mairangi Beach built during WWII against Japanese invaders and another pic is the sea visible somewhere from the position of bunker.
Japanese did not come but many Kiwis married Japanese girls or men today and before. I have some example among friends.
