Waitangi Day

Today is again holiday, but this time something constitutional for the country. Treaty of Waitangi is a document signed by Maori Chefs and British Crown regarding governing, land and other legal matters to make colony to start its own organized life.
There are always political disputes between Maori and the Government with protests, Maori flags of sovereignty what is all together for me enigma and maybe myth regarding historical circumstances when Treaty was signed. Maybe Maori just copy British system of free and leasehold of land and ask their rights. I have studied one semester the Introduction to NZ Law but the topic about Treaty was confused cos it was playing between political correctness and the fact of colonisation, I would say.
